Autism & An Interview: Part III

Today I am going to share an interview I recently did with Caleb, my son who has autism.

I feel like I should have been interviewing Caleb every 2 weeks for the last few months because he has been growing and changing A LOT!!!! I can't even grasp the changes he's undergone physically! Yikes!!! I am the mother to a HUGE man-child! : ) He;s got a man-voice! In my sentimental state I created a last 7 years photo collage for you to see! I stopped at 7 years back for no reasons in particular. I could have kept going all the way to birth, but that would have been a huge collage!!!

Anyway, I wanted to share the most recent interview with you today as part of Autism Awareness Month. I asked him more questions than I usually would, and tried to dig a little deeper to let you get to know Caleb even more!

Oh Amy! He is growing up into such a lovely, young man, you and Adam are doing an amazing job. Also, he sure looks like Adam more and more as he gets older. I enjoy when you do interviews with him, I have started doing them with my kids just out of curiosity and writing down their answers from year to year.

Thanks Sandy! He is looking more like Adam all the time!
I recently saw in a Coles bookstore a journal of shorts that has prompts to ask your kids, but it's meant to be used for 3 years. You record the answers and then you can see how their responses changed over the years, it was really cool! Same idea as what you're doing! I think that the interviews you're doing with your kids will be such a treasure for you and them!

I LOVE that he likes to go to the beer store with you, and get cookies with his dad! haha
I can't believe how deep his voice is!

My cousin is now 27 and living with autism and I decided to click on this adorable interview. I wish my aunt had done this with him as you have done with your son. Your son's smile and his answers were so great to watch. I esp. loved his answer about what he knew about Jesus- he got that spot on huh? And what he likes to play on the computer. :) Thank you for sharing this video with the world, blessings from Texas to you and your family!
