And I assume that if you clicked here on purpose, you wanted to!?....regardless, you're here, and I'll tell you a bit aboot (that is not spelled correctly on purpose so that you will read it like a Canadian) myself. :)
I'm the Mom, wife, artist and blogger behind this mess of Bushel & A Peck!
I started this website originally so that, as a member of the Quinte Arts Council, I could have a website they could refer to if people asked about my art.
From there, I decided to start a blog because I wanted to share my thoughts on being a Mom to 3 crazy kids, with the eldest having autism. I also wanted an online catalogue of my recipes and ideas so that when my kids grew up they could imagine I was awesome based on this blog, and have all their real memories of me fade away! Whomp whomp. I jest : ) You'll also see my healthier side in my checking out the "Health & Fitness" tab above!
The sort of thing that happens when I tell the kids they can take some pictures....
So, I am genuinely introverted, but can handle a crowd. Though, I do feel unnerved before a crowded function, and exhausted afterwards. I sometimes hide in the bathroom at these busy functions just be alone for a few minutes and get re-grouped!
I love to perform, and am part of the Lasalle Causeway Swing Band, as well as a member of the Belleville Theatre Guild (though, I am mostly behind the scenes doing choreography). I really appreciate the arts (in all it's forms), and feel like they are such a wonderful way to express oneself.
I am generally heard belting out a show tune while doing housework, driving or grocery shopping. Basically...whenever I want. If the show hits me, I usually have to sing it out loud to get it out of my head! I also love the '80's band Heart. Those gals are nuts, and their male band members are a little scary.....anyway...
Um....I love to eat! Healthy AND unhealthy! Look at my recipes, that will become clear! I enjoy my morning coffee (...times 2 or 3), and drink it in a tea cup! I also drink a ridiculous amount of water. Not sure why I shared that last bit.
This "about me" is boring....I'm not really sure what to say about me. Bios are weird.
Oh, most importantly, my sister Sharon and I are the inventors of "Realface" and "Footsies". What the heck? Check it out! You'll want to start doing those things! : )
Well, for real though, my life is full. It's been full of laughing and crying,. Full of successes, and profound struggles and failures. I love my kids and my husband, some days more than others. I am a broken vessel that I pray everyday the Lord can still use for some good. I am learning to understand myself, who I really am, and who I really want to be.
I am blessed in a lot of ways, and hope to share my life in a meaningful way through this website and blog. Please comment anywhere and everywhere you want! I love to hear from the people who stop by and are sharing in my life!
